In this episode, Roberto (Helado Negro) shares his professional experience recording foley for film and animation, his creative production workflows, vocal recording process, favorite gear, his new album PHASOR, and more. 


Roberto Carlos Lange, known as Helado Negro, creates immersive dreamscapes with vibrant melodies and bilingual lyrics. In addition to his music, Lange has worked with Comedy Central and contributed foley and sound for the popular animation series Robot Chicken. Drawing from his South Florida upbringing and Ecuadorian heritage, his genre-defying music is shaped by his experiences in Brooklyn, Texas, and Asheville. A graduate of Savannah College of Art and Design, Lange's work spans video, sculpture, and sound, with his latest album, PHASOR, showcasing his collaborative and innovative spirit.
